This is my Dad and grandfathers Anzac medals. My dad got them from fighting in Afghanistan and East Timor he is also a return service men. ANZAC day is a really special day in my family because thats the day we celebrate our ancestors success. My great great great grandfather named Samuel Mitchell was awarded a Victorian cross which is a very special medal For those who were brave in the war, The queen has only given out 1,358 in the world. He has been given his own Plaque for his remembrance, The replica is in hokitika museum, The real one is in a safe in new zealand
